Social media creator Jimmy Darts is using his platform to remind people that kindness is accessible to everyone. Known for videos that capture spontaneous acts of generosity — often funded by donations from his audience — Darts emphasizes that love and service don’t require special training, status, or expense.

Small Actions, Big Impact

“If you’ve got a beating heart, we need everyone on this planet as possible to join the fight, to love people and to be a servant and to do that,” Darts told Relevant Magazine. He stresses that acts of compassion don’t need to be elaborate or costly. “There’s no — it’s not like becoming a pilot where you got to go to college for five years. To be kind to your roommate or your mom or whatever is absolutely free.”

His approach is practical and inclusive. Whether it’s paying for someone’s laundry with a few quarters or offering encouragement through a song or a kind word, Darts says the form of generosity can vary depending on each person’s gifts. “If you want to be generous with money and do it in the similar way that I do it, awesome. Go for that. Start at a laundromat. It only costs a couple quarters to make somebody’s day. If you want to do it another way, if you’re gifted at something else, music, you want to sing songs over people, hope, go for that.”

Faith as Motivation

Darts openly credits his Christian faith as the foundation of his mission. In an interview with CBN, he reflected on his gratitude for the opportunity to help others: “Every day, [I] thank the Lord that I get to do this. It’s a real blast.” He describes a turning point in high school when a Billy Graham video prompted him to make a serious commitment to faith, asking whether he would live for himself or for serving others.

That encounter shaped both his personal life and his online presence. Darts recalls being advised by a pastor to remove earlier videos that did not reflect his beliefs. He says he did so, then focused on content and actions that aligned with his desire to serve. “It just really started this journey of following the Lord. I went from making crazy videos on the internet as like a party high school kid to my pastor saying, ‘Man, if you really believe what you’re saying, Jimmy, you’ll go home and delete everything.’ So I wiped my … videos and everything I had done, and I was like, ‘Man, I want to serve the Lord.’”

Friendship with Jesus

For Darts, faith is relational. In a later interview, he explained, “I just try to do everything with friendship with Jesus…I want to know him, and I want to be his friend.” That sentiment drives the tone of his videos: genuine, approachable, and focused on connecting with people rather than performing for an audience.

A Call to Serve

Above all, Darts’ message is a call to action. He invites people to find practical ways to serve in their everyday environments — from simple acts within the home to creative gifts they can offer the wider community. His work shows that generosity takes many forms and that consistent, small efforts can create meaningful change.
